In 1920, Pastificio Barbieri was born among the fields of Reggio Emilia, the heart of the Emilia region, where the passion for the taste of good fresh pasta is handed down by tradition from generation to generation.
In the cradle of Italian agri-food, the five Barbieri brothers begin their Pasta business, passionately producing good quality pasta by tradition. Even today these are the values that guide the company.
In Emilia Romagna, between tortelli and tagliatelle, the tradition of egg pasta resists and has been handed down for centuries making this land famous all over the world.
Rolling pin, strong hands and experience. These are the tools of the “sfogline”, the now legendary Emilian women dedicated to the production, often in large quantities, of pasta for pasta.
