Description

Global Invacom Fibre IRS GTU Gateway Termination Unit Fibre Optic F101608

The FibreIRS Quad Gateway Termination Unit (GTU) is designed to convert the optically received signals, from a fibre passive optical network (PON), to 4 universal satellite coax outputs and one DTT/DAB Coax output. Replicating a quad LNB the GTU is designed to allow the end user to feed 4 standard STBs or 2 PVR STBs.

The Fibre IRS system is designed to run alongside a voice and data optical network, either on its own dedicated fibre, or as an RF overlay. The system is designed to distribute DAB, DTT and the complete Satellite content from a single Headend to a large number of dwellings.

The Headend is comprised of modules that receive and combine terrestrial and satellite signals to an optical output. The optical signal is then split, amplified, then split further to feed multiple Passive Optical Networks (PONs) or ‘Point to Point’ connections.

  • Unique and ground breaking technology that can be ported to any market, where Satellite TV is both available and desired, either as a ‘Standalone’ or as part of a ‘Multiplay’ proposition.
  • Complete ‘end to end’ solution enabling unlimited tuners/STBs to be used within each connected home.
  • Scalable, from 10’s to 10,000’s of homes.
  • Highly cost effective.
  • Future proofing.
  • Single FC/PC optical input.
  • 4x Universal outputs and 1x DTT/DAB output (all coaxial).
  • Powered via a separate mains PSU.
